About Cultura Profetica:

"Connect yourself to the rhythm of the land and try to truly feel it. Understand that together we are a force, that all is possible if we just try". With this motto, this group of Puerto Rican artists delivers in its music a clear stance on how they wish their music to be understood. As conscious university students of the political and economic problems that affect Puerto Rico and the world in general, they have decided to raise their flight in favor of liberty, equality, and of the protection of nature and all that it provides us. Their ingenious musical creations are of contemporary character and of universal value, without forgetting the importance of a fresh, spontaneous composition and heavy in poetic scope. They have torn down the ideological barriers that transcend the values of this generation. Cultura Profetica can be classified as a banner of fight and reaffirmation of the union that underestimates the stereotypes on the color of the skin, social ladder or political affiliations.

Cultura Profetica does not accept seals or strict musical classifications. Its musical base is found in the roots of reggae with sounds of salsa, bomba, ska, jazz, funk, brazilian and an indisputable fusion of the Afro-Caribbean vibe.

In search of the perfection and as indisputable test of a genuine talent, Cultura Profetica manages to reach the "mecca" of the roots of the classical reggae. They have been given the right to open the doors to work and study inside the facilities of the "Museum of Bob Marley" in Kingston Jamaica. There is no doubt that this privilege was a vote of confidence by Mr. Errol Brown, who besides working as a sound engineer on all of the works of Cultura Profetica, he also made magic for 15 years while working with Bob Marley himself on productions including: "Legend", "Confrontation", "Uprising" and "Survival".

Their discography spans over 10 years from their first official release in 1998 of Cancion De Alerta to their last album The Best of Cultura Profetica in 2008. They are continuously working on new and unqie music that maintain the convictions that have made Cultura Profetica the best at what they do.
